We have a responsibility as Believers to be faithful stewards of our spirit—by feeding it with the Word of God daily; our soul—by meditating the Word of God and being watchful of what we allow to enter in through the eye gate, ear gate, and all other senses; and our body—by being knowledgeable of what we put into it and do with it. In doing so we give way to a more powerful witness.
There’s an old and familiar maxim that simply states: “You only get out of it what you put into it”. If a man buys a vehicle and never performs any maintenance, never checks or changes the oil and filters, never considers the type of fuel that he uses or even bothers to clean and maintain the exterior it will eventually be revealed for all to see that this man is a poor steward over that which has been afforded him.
When we fail to practice a Kingdom level of stewardship it will begin to show in our daily lives to the point that even others can see. At which point all will know not only what you are and who you are, but what you are not and who you are not. Does the man who sports a pot belly, undeveloped stamina, high cholesterol and blood pressure claim to be a mindful practitioner of healthy diet and exercise? By his fruits all shall be revealed—Matthew 7:16 and all shall know who and what he really is. The results of successful stewardship will always speak louder than and give a far more convincing testimony than your words. The seed you sow will determine the fruit they see. Remember that.
Stay Blessed!
